The VeloBalt company has been in operation in Kaliningrad since 2006.

The Kaliningrad region is a free economic area with low rates of internal taxes and export duties, it has common borders with EU countries and does not fall under the act of antidumping law in Europe.

Today VeloBalt factory outputs over 70 models of “Stinger” mountain and road bicycles intended for youth and adults, and over 50 models of “Novatrack” youth bicycles. The factory is capable to output over 300 000 bicycles of various models a year. The model lines are constantly added and updated, the company is keeping close track of the latest trends in the bicycle market, promptly reacting to the buyers’ preferences and wishes. The stability in the working of the enterprise is determined by availability of a team of experts having worked together for many years and is one of key strategic priorities of the company.

Apart from manufacturing the bicycles of own brands the VeloBalt factory provides services of bicycles’ assembly out of the customer’s components. The factory by own strength carries out the customs clearance of components, the assembly of finished products and delivery to the address of a consignee. Working in the conditions of free economic area the VeloBalt does not pay import and export duties on components and finished products.

At such dynamical rates of development it becomes of most importance that permanent quality assurance of products is maintained at a high level. Such result is achieved by means of using new technologies and a strict control on part of Quality Department Service at all stages of production process –check of the quality of the components, quality of the assembly and the adjustment of units, the control of the fully assembled and ready to ship bicycles, etc. Prior to being used in the production, components pass double input quality assurance. The whole process of bicycle’s creation, from separate parts to the final assembly, passes under permanent control.

Bicycles manufactured by VeloBalt are successfully sold in Russia in the world known retail chain stores, such as Auchan, Real,- and Carfour, and also in major Russian chains: Perekrestok, Mosmart, OK, Karusel, and so forth.

The bicycle manufacturing begins with the choice of qualitative components. A careful approach to the question of choosing suppliers is taken at the factory. The VeloBalt company builds its production on the state of the art, hi-tech equipment made in Netherlands and Taiwan and the latest technological developments. For the manufacturing of bicycles there are used high-strength materials (high-ten steels and aluminum alloys) meeting modern world standards. In the manufacturing of bicycles each part is paid close attention to. Reliable quality is conditioned by the use of the latest achievements in the field of bicycle technologies. Only components to be proved as good of well-known companies are used for the bicycles: Shimano, Zoom, Promax, Prowheel, KMC, Neco, Assess, etc. Rims for all bicycles are made of anodized aluminum profiles. Due to its use, the rim becomes stable against damages, corrosion, acquires durability. Owing to that structural section the weight of the bicycles decreases and its free travel increases – a cyclist expends less effort when riding. Besides, the rim made of such aluminum profiles has excellent appearance and therefore does not require chromium plating or painting.

The wheel is assembled with machines of known Dutch company Holland Mechanics – a recognized expert in making wheels manufacturing equipment. Spokes are assembled into the hub, engaged with nipples and tightened. The wheel passes through computer balancing whereby it’s vertical and horizontal wobbles are completely eliminated, that is the wheel becomes stable. To avoid defects, after mounting all wheels are inflated by air and stored for one day before assembly.

For the packing of bicycle a high-quality 5-layer cartons is used. The box is additionally strengthened with a stapler and a packing tape. Such packing reliably retains salable condition during transportation and warehousing.

All bicycles made at VeloBalt comply with European norms and have the quality assurance. The frame of each bicycle has individual number.
